At Casey’s, we appreciate tradition, the elbow grease and our roots that got us where we are today. Our company started when two friends had a dream for their own business and the desire of creating community.
On a cold, December day in Iowa, those two friends founded the company that would open its first store in the summer of 1968 in Boone, Iowa. The store was a converted garage that offered guests fuel, grocery items and 10-cent cups of coffee (that’s right, 10 cents!).
In 1970, Casey’s officially became the company name, inspired by one of our founder’s (K.C.) initials, and shortly thereafter, the Casey’s logo was officially born. Our founders even did some consumer testing, placing the new logo on the side of an ice machine inside the store for guests to give comments.
Since then, Casey’s guests have come to know that when they see the Casey’s logo, it means a favorite slice of pizza, hot cup of coffee or refreshing fountain soda, and full tank of gas are nearby. From a single store in Boone, Iowa, to over 2,200 stores across hundreds of towns and 16 states, Casey’s has remained true to being a part of its communities.
Now, for the first time, we are introducing a fresh, new look to Casey’s. This is a good change as it reflects all the new ways we are taking care of our guests while staying true to our community roots.
And, an important part of this journey was hearing from you, just like our founders did when they taped that logo to the ice chest.
This new look still reflects the familiar role Casey’s plays in each community while also letting folks know that we’re changing for good reasons – more Rewards, new items and great experiences.
While our logo may look a little bit different, Casey’s is still here with the same friendly employees, made-from-scratch pizza, freshly baked donuts, snacks and drinks you love, and quality fuel.
