At Casey’s, each day, our 38,000-plus team members are proudly serving millions of guests coming through our over 2200 stores across our 16 states. With a significant presence in mid-size and rural communities across middle America, we are part of the fabric of communities that know each other by name and show up for each other when in need.
As our purpose states, we are here to make life better for our communities and guests every day. Being part of the heart of the communities we serve means Casey’s can make a positive, local impact and strengthen our communities. We’re proud to be #HereForGood!
Our giving aims to have an impact by creating Stronger Communities by supporting fundamental needs in our communities: Education, Hunger and Community Servants.
Build stronger communities through giving that makes an impact on the fundamental needs of the neighbors and towns that Casey’s serves.
Education provides the foundation for strong, sustaining communities by preparing children for a bright future, creating a skilled workforce, and connecting families and children. Our support of education includes an emphasis on K-12 schools, students, teachers and youth extracurriculars.
We are so excited to support schools across our entire footprint through our Cash for Classrooms program.
The Cash for Classrooms Grant Program is an annual program that offers schools an opportunity to submit a grant request to the Casey’s Foundation. See the full details on the Cash for Classrooms Grant Program.
NOTE: Grant submissions are not currently being accepted. The grant submission window will open in September 2020.
Being Here For Good is in our DNA. That’s why our Casey’s Rewards guest loyalty program includes an easy, ongoing option to earn points from everyday purchases in our stores that can be directed toward a local school donation of choice. With over 36,000 schools across all our communities included, our guests can turn their points into funds to help the school they choose with purchasing supplies, buying new books for the library or other needs.
If you are a school looking to spread the word, check out our toolkit and templates to kick things off at your next PTO meeting or parent-teacher event. Be sure to join Casey’s Rewards and download the Casey’s app to start earning points that you can donate toward a school.
Hunger and food availability are a challenge for many of Casey’s hometowns. According to Feeding America®, approximately 2.3 million households in rural communities face hunger and 86 percent of counties with the highest percentage of children at risk for food insecurity are rural.
September is Hunger Action Month and Casey’s, now joined by Coca-Cola, is continuing its partnership with Feeding America to support school-aged children and their families who are experiencing food insecurity within Casey’s 16-state footprint. The pandemic has made the need greater than ever: 40% of people receiving food support today have never used Feeding America before – and children are particularly impacted.
Casey’s has set a goal: Donate 10 million meals to children and their families through the 58 Feeding America food banks that reach Casey’s communities across 16 states. You can make a positive impact:
As little as $1 provides at least 10 meals* through Feeding America. Casey’s is at the heart of every community it serves, and we are Here for Good. Working together, we can get millions of meals, quickly and directly, to our guests and neighbors in need. #HereForGood
*$1 helps to provide at least ten meals secured by Feding America® on behalf of local member food banks.
We want to help bring certainty to our neighbors who are unsure where their next meal may come from. Casey’s makes an impact on food insecurity and hunger through a partnership with Feeding America that supports over 50 food banks that serve our neighbors. Through monetary and in-kind product donations, we aim to provide millions of meals in our footprint this year.
Casey’s is rooted in the heart of its communities. We believe we have the unique ability to support community servants and local needs. These efforts center on support for veterans and first responders, and also disaster and emergency response needs.
We support a variety of organizations and efforts that support veterans, their families and caregivers. In November, we hold a giving campaign benefiting veteran’s organizations like Hope For The Warriors, and each year we are humbled by the overwhelming gratitude and response from our team members and guests. We also provide a free cup of coffee to veterans when they shop in our stores on Veterans Day, and free car washes where available.
First responders and essential workers like healthcare employees are supporting and strengthening our communities every day, around the clock. We provide in-kind donations and monetary funds toward programs that benefit these community helpers.
Most recently, in response to the coronavirus pandemic, Casey’s activated it 2200-store footprint and partners to provide a Slice of Thanks to essential workers. We provided over 15,000 slices to hundreds of workers, bringing a tasty break in their day and smile to their face. We look forward to continuing to do similar acts of kindness through our community giving efforts.
To strengthen our communities, we focus our giving by supporting fundamental needs in our communities: Education, Hunger and Community Servants. This happens through a mix of planned partnerships and giving, our Cash for Classrooms program and donation requests.
We offer a variety of programs to our communities and neighbors.
