Update on COVID-19 Actions and Mask Requirement

January 25, 2021

At Casey’s, we’re committed to doing our part to help curb the spread of COVID-19. First, and most important, the health and wellbeing of our team members and communities is a priority. We are making decisions with this in mind, while continuing our mission of being here for guests.

As such, beginning February 1, 2021, Casey’s will require guests to wear face coverings while in our stores.

This company-wide policy requires all guests age 5 years and older to wear face coverings unless they cannot due to a medical condition. Casey’s believes this extra precaution will further help protect the health and wellbeing of our team members, guests, and communities. According to the CDC, wearing a facial covering, combined with social distancing and frequent handwashing, has been scientifically proven to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

In addition, we continue to operate with the safety measures put in place during spring of 2020:

  • Enhanced cleaning routines and handwashing: This includes being diligent with fundamental actions like increasing the frequency of cleaning food prep equipment, counters, restrooms and fuel pumps as well as other high-touch surfaces throughout our stores.
  • Health checks: Our team members’ temperatures are taken and a symptom list is reviewed prior to working to ensure they are healthy. As always, our team members are staying home if they are sick.
  • Social distancing: In-store decals and signage communicating social distancing in our stores, and seating areas remain closed.
  • Delivery and payment options: We offer curbside pickup and delivery options, and we are encouraging delivery and carryout pizza guests to complete payment online to reduce contact at checkout.
  • Ongoing team member support and education: We provide special sick pay for any team member that contracts COVID-19, or is in a situation requiring quarantine, and have ongoing communication to team members with safety reminders and other helpful information.

Our stores are open and we are working hard to keep the products you love available.

In addition to taking care of our team members, Casey’s provided $150,000 to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Relief Fund in May 2020, and held a giving campaign in September that raised over 15 million meals to benefit 48 local food banks across the communities where we operate.

We are currently reviewing grant applications from local schools to help them enhance their capabilities, a need that continues to grow because of the ongoing pandemic. We look forward to awarding these grants in March.
